MoFA marks 35th anniversary of diplomatic relations with Russian Federation

Manama, Sep. 30 (BNA): The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain expressed its pride in the thirty-fifth anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Russian Federation, inaugurated in 1990. Over the past three decades, these relations have witnessed steady growth, reflecting the strength of the bonds between the two countries.
The Ministry affirmed that Bahraini-Russian relations are founded on mutual respect, constructive cooperation and common interests. They have contributed to strengthening cooperation in the political, economic, commercial, health, cultural and tourism fields, in addition to ongoing coordination on regional and international issues of shared concern.
The Ministry also valued the exchange of high-level visits between the two countries, which have resulted in the signing of agreements and memoranda of understanding across multiple sectors. These have established a solid legal framework to support future bilateral cooperation and enabled the exploration of new prospects for deepening collaboration between both sides.
On this occasion, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain reiterated its commitment to further developing relations with the Russian Federation in a way that serves common interests, supports sustainable development, and enhances security, peace and stability at both regional and international levels.
