Oil Minister receives Russian delegation

Manama, Oct. 1 (BNA):  Mohammed bin Mubarak Bin Daina, Minister of Oil and Environment and Special Envoy for Climate Affairs, received a Russian delegation led by Alexey Skosyrev, Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Bahrain, accompanied by Ivan Alexandrovich Kushch, Director of the Department of International Cooperation at the Ministry of Natural Resources and the Environment of Russia, and Shukhrat Razakov, General Director of the Kamchatka Falcon Centre.

The meeting discussed enhancing cooperation between Bahrain and Russia in the fields of environmental protection and biodiversity, with both sides highlighting the value of strengthening international partnerships to address global environmental challenges.

Dr. Bin Daina affirmed Bahrain’s commitment to drawing on international expertise to safeguard and sustain natural resources, noting that the steady growth of Bahrain-Russia relations creates new opportunities for joint environmental initiatives and projects.

The delegation praised Bahrain’s efforts in environmental protection and expressed their commitment to broaden cooperation through research, training and practical initiatives that support sustainability.
