Rabat, Oct. 1 (BNA): A delegation from the Secretariat General of the Shura Council, headed by Mohammed Radhi Mohammed, Director of Committees Affairs and Legislative Monitoring, paid an official visit to the House of Representatives and the House of Councillors in the Kingdom of Morocco. The visit reflects the Secretariat General’s keenness to broaden institutional cooperation and exchange legislative and administrative expertise and experiences with counterpart councils in other countries.

During the visit, the delegation held several coordination meetings with officials from the secretariats general of both the House of Representatives and the House of Councillors. The meetings reviewed mutual experiences in supporting parliamentary work, mechanisms for coordination with standing committees, and the role of technical bodies in legislative monitoring and analysis.

Discussions also addressed practices related to institutional development, enhancing administrative efficiency, and the use of modern technologies in managing work within legislative councils.

The visit further covered areas related to parliamentary research and studies, digital transformation, administrative support, as well as training and parliamentary performance development. It also examined mechanisms for advancing public relations and institutional communication systems in line with the rapid changes in the legislative and administrative work environment.

Both sides expressed a mutual interest in strengthening future cooperation, particularly in the areas of parliamentary training and the exchange of technical, administrative, and institutional expertise. They also explored the possibility of holding joint programmes to serve staff members of the secretariats general and contribute to improving the quality of support provided to council members.
