Kings League Ignites Riyadh Season with First Middle East Edition

Riyadh, October 07, 2025, SPA -- The first edition of the Kings League – Middle East and North Africa (MENA) is set to kick off on October 24 with the Kings Cup MENA tournament, held as part of Riyadh Season 2025.
Taking place over five days at Boulevard Riyadh City, the tournament will feature the debut of participating teams in an innovative sports experience that blends modern football with digital entertainment, offering fast-paced and unconventional matches.
The league’s launch in the region is a partnership between Kings League and SURJ Sports Investment, a company owned by the Public Investment Fund, aimed at developing the sports sector and enhancing the Kingdom’s position as a leading destination for hosting major global tournaments.
This marks a significant milestone in the league’s international expansion, which began in Spain in 2023 and has since extended to several countries, including Brazil, France, Germany, Italy, and Latin America.
Kings League CEO Djamel Agaoua said that hosting the regional edition as part of Riyadh Season reflects the Kingdom’s dynamic growth in sports and entertainment. He highlighted that it offers a new experience combining excitement, competition, and fan engagement in an exceptional atmosphere.
He also noted that the tournament represents a modern model merging football and digital culture, featuring participation from prominent content creators and influencers across the region.
