Kartar Lalvani awarded Doctorate by Middlesex University
London, July 15 (PTI) Indian-origin doctor Kartar
Lalvani, founder and President of Vitabiotics, Britain's
leading Vitamin pill producing company, has been awarded an
honorary Doctorate by Middlesex University in recognition of
his excellence in the field of science.
Dr Lalvani, a fellow of the Royal Pharmaceutical
Society, founded Vitabiotics in 1971 as the first company to
offer research based vitamin supplements specially tailored
for specific life stages.
Vitabiotics' unique portfolio of products are at the
forefront of scientific developments in nutrition and includes
market leaders such as Pregnacare, Osteocare, Wellman,
Wellwoman and Menopause.
After receiving the doctorate, Dr Lalvani said, "It is
a great honour to have been awarded a Doctorate in recognition
of my ongoing work in the field of science."
"I have always been passionate about my work and since
starting Vitabiotics 38 years ago, I remain as passionate
about science as I ever have been. It's through hard work,
determination and patience that I have got to where I am
today," he said.
"I hope that through being awarded this Doctorate I
can help inspire students with the motivation and inspiration
to pursue their career ambitions," he added.
The Doctorate was presented to Lalvani at a graduation
ceremony for the School of Health & Social Science. PTI HSR
