KSrelief Marks International Day for the Eradication of Poverty

Riyadh, October 17, 2025, SPA -- On the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty, observed on October 17, Saudi Arabia’s King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) stands out for its global humanitarian contributions, underscoring the vital need for the international community to unite in alleviating the suffering of the poor and supporting crisis-affected populations toward a more stable future.
Since its establishment in 2015, KSrelief has implemented 3,768 projects in 109 countries at a total cost exceeding $8.206 billion. These initiatives have covered various vital sectors that directly contribute to improving living standards and reducing the effects of poverty, including food security, health, education, water and environmental sanitation, shelter, and early recovery.
As part of its poverty eradication efforts, KSrelief has implemented 1,084 projects specifically in the field of food security and nutrition, at a cost of $2.401 billion. These critical projects have significantly benefited several crisis-affected countries, most notably Yemen, Syria, and Somalia.
The center further strengthens its impact by building close cooperative relationships and international partnerships with United Nations organizations and humanitarian and relief agencies worldwide, contributing to the empowerment of vulnerable communities and supporting comprehensive, sustainable development.
