Oil Minister receives GCC Emergency Management Centre President

Manama, Oct. 17 (BNA): Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak bin Daina, Minister of Oil and Environment and Special Envoy for Climate Affairs, received Dr. Rashed Mohammed Al Marri, President of the GCC Emergency Management Centre, to further strengthen cooperation between Bahrain and fellow GCC states in disaster management, emergency preparedness, and environmental protection.

Dr. bin Daina commended the Centre’s contribution to supporting GCC efforts in tackling environmental and natural challenges, as well as in building national capacities for rapid response and crisis management. He affirmed Bahrain’s commitment to deepening collaboration and sharing expertise with the Centre to enhance regional safety and resilience.

Dr. Al Marri praised Bahrain’s leading role in advancing joint Gulf initiatives on environmental emergency management. He emphasised the Centre’s readiness to continue close coordination with the Kingdom to promote preparedness and ensure effective regional response mechanisms.
