Bahrain's parliamentary delegation participates in Arab Parliamentary Scout Union conference in Kuwait

Kuwait, Oct. 22 (BNA): Bahrain’s parliamentary delegation, led by MP Mohammed Jassim Al Alawi and including MP Jalal Kadhem Hassan and Shura Council Member Redha Ebrahim Munfaredi, participated in the Arab Parliamentary Scout Union conference held in Kuwait. The event was organised in cooperation with the Kuwait Boy Scouts Association and the Arab Union of Pioneers of Scouts and Guides Pioneers.

The delegation highlighted that Bahrain’s participation reflects the Kingdom’s commitment to the scouting movement as a means of character development, civic engagement, and youth empowerment, principles guided by the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and supported by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

Their attendance followed directives from Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam, Speaker of the Council of Representatives and Chairman of the Parliamentary Division’s Executive Committee, and underscored Bahrain’s active role in regional and international forums, particularly in sharing national achievements in youth, parliamentary, and humanitarian work.

The conference concluded with several key recommendations, including integrating scouting into education and leadership development, ensuring inclusivity, enhancing contributions to sustainable development, and strengthening Arab and international partnerships. It also proposed the formation of a committee to implement these recommendations through practical steps.

The delegation emphasised that these outcomes reflect a shared commitment to supporting Arab youth initiatives and strengthening cooperation between scouting and parliamentary bodies in areas such as education, citizenship, and social responsibility. They underscored the role of the scouting movement in shaping capable, community-oriented leaders.
