Ambassador to Malaysia receives IAIS Malaysia Chairman

Kuala Lumpur, Oct. 23 (BNA): Dr. Waleed Khalifa Al Manea, Ambassador of Bahrain to Malaysia, received Professor Dr. Maszlee bin Malik, former Malaysian Minister of Education and Chairman of the International Institute of Advanced Islamic Studies of Malaysia (IAIS).

The two sides discussed means to further strengthen bilateral ties between Bahrain and Malaysia in various domains, in addition to enhancing cooperation between the Kingdom and Southeast Asian countries.

The meeting also reviewed prospects for expanding academic and diplomatic cooperation between research institutions and study centers in both countries.

The two sides discussed opportunities for collaboration in the areas of publishing, translation, and scientific research, emphasising the importance of building a bridge of knowledge and culture between the two countries to promote the values of understanding, openness, and cooperation.
