HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister attends the inauguration ceremony of the Grand Egyptian Museum
Cairo, Nov. 1 (BNA): On behalf of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, today attended the inauguration ceremony of the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM).
Upon arrival to the ceremony, His Royal Highness was received by His Excellency Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of Egypt.
At the inauguration of the Grand Egyptian Museum, His Royal Highness conveyed the greetings of His Majesty the King to His Excellency Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of Egypt.
His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister congratulated His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and the people of Egypt on the opening, emphasising that the museum reflects the nation’s rich civilisation and enduring human heritage.
His Royal Highness affirmed that through its exhibitions, the GEM showcases the rich history of Egyptian civilisations. His Royal Highness emphasised the global cultural impact of the Pharaonic era, highlighting its role in fostering international dialogue and understanding.
His Royal Highness expressed his appreciation for Egypt’s tireless efforts in protecting archaeological remains and underscored that these efforts to preserve humanity’s heritage build bridges of communication among peoples and civilisations.
His Royal Highness stressed that Egypt’s cultural preservation efforts reflect its rich heritage as a cradle of civilisations that has inspired societies worldwide.
HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad expressed his pride in the enduring and longstanding Bahrain-Egypt strategic partnership, underpinned by multisectoral collaboration, supported by both His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and HE Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.
His Royal Highness commended Egypt’s accomplishments under the leadership of His Excellency El-Sisi, wishing Egypt and its people further progress and success.
His Royal Highness, accompanied by senior attendees, toured the Grand Egyptian Museum, which features exhibition halls that showcase the rich heritage of Egyptian civilisation and its enduring contributions to humanity. During the tour, His Royal Highness viewed several archaeological exhibits and rare artefacts that showcase different stages of ancient Egyptian history.
