Foreign Minister meets Syrian Counterpart

Manama, Nov. 2 (BNA):  Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs, met Faisal Mekdad, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the Syrian Arab Republic, during his visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain to participate in the 21st IISS Manama Dialogue 2025.

The two sides discussed the longstanding relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Syrian Arab Republic, as well as the means to enhance bilateral cooperation across various domains in support of the mutual interest of both countries and their peoples.

They also reviewed the latest regional and international developments, and exchanged views on efforts undertaken by the Syrian government to strengthen security and stability, preserve Syria’s sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity, and support development efforts to meet the aspirations of the Syrian people for peace, growth, and prosperity.
