Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah meets senior participants in Gateway Gulf 2025

Manama, Nov. 2 (BNA): Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister, met with Dr. Ahmed bin Aqeel Al Khateeb, Minister of Tourism of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia; Faisal bin Fadhil Al Ibrahim, Minister of Economy and Planning of Saudi Arabia; Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of State for Foreign Trade of the United Arab Emirates; and Ibrahim bin Yousef Al Mubarak, Assistant Minister of Investment and Chairman of the Saudi Investment Promotion Authority of Saudi Arabia, on the sidelines of the Gateway Gulf 2025.


 

The meeting was attended by Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy, and Noor bint Ali Alkhulaif, Minister of Sustainable Development and Chief Executive of the Economic Development Board (Bahrain EDB).


 

Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah said that under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, the Kingdom of Bahrain is committed to enhancing economic cooperation with the Gulf Cooperation Council states to achieve the shared development visions of the leaders of the GCC, and to advance the region’s role as a global trade and investment hub.


 

He noted that the longstanding ties between Bahrain and other GCC states have reinforced regional partnership in shaping the present and future of development. He underscored the Kingdom’s relations with Saudi Arabia and the UAE as a leading example of economic integration based on openness and sustainability for the benefit of the region and its people.


 

The Deputy Prime Minister expressed appreciation for the participants’ contribution to the forum, which enriches its outcomes, supports GCC economic cooperation, and enhances development partnerships across the region. He highlighted the shared commitment to coordinated efforts in line with global economic changes and deeper integration in trade, investment, tourism, industry, and technology to foster joint growth and boost the GCC’s competitiveness in global markets.


 

On their part, the participants in the forum expressed gratitude to HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister for his commitment to advancing economic cooperation and integration among GCC countries and for the continued support for joint Gulf action. They also thanked the Deputy Prime Minister for his warm welcome and wished Bahrain continued progress and prosperity.
