Thai King and Queen Review China's AI and Education Tech Advancements

BEIJING, nov 17 (TNA) - Their Majesties King Maha Vajiralongkorn and Queen Suthida focused on China's technological advancements during their state visit, touring two key innovation facilities in the capital.
On November 15, 2025, Their Majesties visited the Beijing Innovation Center of Humanoid Robotics, where they were received by Mayor Yin Yong.
The royal couple viewed a video on AI robotics, a national priority for China, and observed demonstrations of sophisticated prototypes, including the multi-terrain Tiangong intelligent robot.

They toured the "Robot World" section, which featured AI applications in manufacturing, healthcare such as surgical and pharmaceutical dispensing robots, and consumer services, underscoring the center's focus on developing physical AI for high-precision and hazardous tasks.
On November 16, Their Majesties visited the National Center for Education Technology and Resources Development. Welcomed by Education Minister Huai Jinpeng, Their Majesties viewed presentations on the Smart Education of China (SEC) platform, the centerpiece of China's initiative to modernize its educational system.

The SEC platform is a national hub designed to provide quality educational resources and teacher training to over 293 million students, aiming to ensure equal access to education in remote and underserved areas.
The visit included a live demonstration of a remote, interactive lesson connecting students in Beijing and Hainan Province, showcasing the platform’s capacity to democratize educational technology across China.
