Iraqi Army Aviation Commander Honored with One of France’s Highest Air Force Medals

Baghdad / NINA /- French Chief of Defense Staff, General Fabien Mandon, on Monday honored the Commander of the Iraqi Army Aviation, Lieutenant General Pilot Mohammad Abdul Kareem Aouni, by awarding him the French Aviation Medal in recognition of his dedication to duty and his prominent role in strengthening military cooperation between Iraq and France.

The Ministry of Defense stated in a press release that this medal is considered one of the highest honors in the French Air Force, reflecting the international appreciation for the efforts made by the Iraqi Army Aviation, as well as its significant role in developing aerial capabilities and combating terrorism.

The ceremony was attended by the Chief of Staff of the Iraqi Army, First Lieutenant General Abdul Amir Rashid Yarallah, along with a number of senior leaders and officers of the Ministry of Defense. They affirmed that this recognition represents an important achievement for the Iraqi military institution, and a clear message of support for the ongoing partnership and cooperation between Iraq and France, particularly in the fields of training, exchange of expertise, and technical support. / End
