Bahrain's parliamentary division participates in 31st Arab Scout Conference in Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi, Nov. 17 (BNA): Bahrain's Parliamentary Division delegation participated in the 31st Arab Scout Conference, hosted by the Emirates Scout Association.
The participation reflects Bahrain’s commitment to supporting youth engagement and strengthening its presence in regional and international forums, in line with the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, which places investment in young people at the centre of national development. It is also supported by the government led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, who prioritises initiatives that empower young people and expand their role in nation-building.
It also follows the directives of Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam, Speaker of the Council of Representatives, who emphasises the importance of enhancing youth partnerships and parliamentary cooperation in scouting and volunteer work to reinforce Bahrain’s leading regional and international presence.
The conference serves as a platform for Arab Scout associations to exchange expertise, showcase successful experiences, and develop youth work mechanisms aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals, strengthening joint Arab cooperation.
Discussions include developing the Arab Scout movement, adopting its general policy, electing the new Arab Scout Committee, approving financial and administrative reports, reviewing youth initiatives, and exploring plans related to digital transformation, leadership, and innovation in scouting.
The agenda also covers proposed amendments to the Constitution of the Arab Scout Organisation and the Arab Scout Region, determining future conference and camp venues, and holding specialised sessions on sustainability, digital leadership, youth protection, innovative education, and the future of volunteer work in the Arab world.
