First Deputy Speaker receives Lord Lancaster

Manama, Nov. 17 (BNA): Abdulnabi Salman Ahmed, First Deputy Speaker of the Council of Representatives, received Lord Lancaster and his accompanying delegation.
The two sides discussed efforts to enhance relations across various sectors, in line with shared aspirations and mutual interests.
Discussions also addressed regional developments, international efforts to promote security, stability, and prosperity in the region, and other matters of mutual concern.
The First Deputy Speaker commended the deep-rooted and longstanding relations between the two countries. He highlighted the significant cooperation and strategic partnership across multiple sectors, supported by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Majesty King Charles III of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Head of the Commonwealth.
He also emphasised the Council of Representatives’ commitment to strengthening constructive parliamentary cooperation with the British Parliament and advancing collaborative efforts across all developmental sectors to achieve the shared objectives and interests of the two countries and their peoples.
