Embassy of China in Malaysia Donates RM100,000 to JAWI Musa’adah Fund

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 18 (Bernama) --  The Embassy of China in Malaysia on Tuesday donated RM100,000 to the Federal Territories Islamic Religious Department (JAWI) Musa’adah Fund, bringing its total assistance since 2020 to RM800,000.

Malaysian Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Religious Affairs), Dr Mohd Na’im Mokhtar, in a post on platform X, said the continued contributions reflect that humanitarian efforts transcend boundaries.

“Since 2020, the Chinese Embassy has supported us in extending assistance to asnaf individuals, single mothers, persons with disabilities, the homeless and B40 families. Today, they have once again contributed RM100,000 to JAWI’s Musa’adah Fund.

“Every Ringgit is more than just a number. It is rice in a single mother’s kitchen, milk for a child waiting at home, a lifeline for those hit by floods, a renewed hope,” he said in the post.

He earlier received a brief courtesy call from the Chinese Ambassador to Malaysia, Ouyang Yujing, which he described as a testament to the friendship between nations, expressed through mutual care for those in need.

He also expressed his appreciation to Ouyang Yujing and the Chinese Embassy for their unwavering compassion and hoped that the partnership would continue to thrive, not just as two governments but also as friends united in humanitarian efforts.
