“MANIFEST OF AN AMBASSADOR” BY HAFIZ PASHAYEV PRESENTED
Baku, 17 July (AzerTAc). “Manifest of An Ambassador”, a book by Hafiz Pashayev, Azerbaijan Deputy Foreign Minister and Rector of the Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy, was presented today. The book was published in Russian and presented at Academy Book’s Center of capital in the presence of a number of political and cultural figures of republic, MPs, ministers, film directors, men of art and literature, rectors of higher schools.
Speaking of the book, Pashayev said in the ceremony that the Azerbaijani version of the book was published recently. “The idea to publish the book in Russian came when I visited a book shop near the Azerbaijani embassy in Moscow”, he said. “Absence of a book about Azerbaijan forced me to come to this conclusion. A well-known Russian journalist told me “Do you really think that they know Azerbaijan in Russia? It is time to popularize Azerbaijan in Russia”. The young generations after USSR collapse don’t know Azerbaijan”. Pashayev thanked the Russian editor of the book Siyavush Mammadzade and translator Eldar Ismayilov. Siyavush Mammadzade called the Russian version of the book an important publication.
As stated, the book depicts memoirs of Pashayev on his 14-year long diplomatic activity as an ambassador.
Speaking of the socio-political significance of the book, Academician Vasim Mammadaliyev, PhD, Professor Ilham Rahimli called the book a substantial, completed and rich sample of similar editions.
