Malaysia Thanks Indonesian Ambassador Hermono For Strengthening Malaysia-Indonesia Ties

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 28 (Bernama) -- Malaysia has expressed its highest appreciation to the Indonesian Ambassador to Malaysia, Hermono, for his efforts in strengthening bilateral ties between the two countries throughout his service here.

Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim also expressed his appreciation for the Indonesian Government's continued commitment to strengthening Malaysia-Indonesia ties, including efforts to address major issues, such as migrant workers and border controls.

"Today, I received a courtesy call from the Indonesian Ambassador to Malaysia, Hermono, who will be completing his service and returning to Jakarta soon.

"Malaysia remains committed to continuing to strengthen close cooperation with Indonesia for the benefit and well-being of the people from both countries,” Anwar posted on Facebook on Friday.

Appointed in 2020, Hermono is a career diplomat and previously served as Indonesia's Deputy Ambassador to Malaysia from 2013 to 2015.
