HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad attends Arab Cup 2025 opening ceremony in Doha

Doha, Dec. 2 (BNA): His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS), President of the General Sports Authority (GSA), and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC), attended the opening ceremony of the Arab Cup 2025 hosted by the State of Qatar, held at Al Bayt Stadium in Al Khor.

HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad attended the event in response to an invitation from the State of Qatar and in support of the football tournament, which highlights the spirit of unity among Arab countries and the role of sport in promoting closer ties between peoples.

HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad commended the opening ceremony, which showcased Qatar’s strong organisational capabilities, noting that the tournament serves as an important sporting platform for unifying Arab efforts to support and develop football.

HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad also expressed appreciation for the efforts of the organising committee, wishing success to the Kingdom of Bahrain’s national football team and all participating teams. His Highness expressed hope that the tournament would achieve its objectives in a professional and well-conducted sporting environment.
