National Security Advisor: Iraq Supports The Security And Stability Of Syria

Baghdad / NINA/ -Iraq’s National Security Adviser, Qasim Al-Araji, reaffirmed Iraq’s support for the security and stability of the Syrian Arab Republic, stressing the importance of preserving its unity and sovereignty.
In a statement, the National Security Chancellery said that Al-Araji received, on Tuesday, the Deputy Head of the United Nations Mission in Syria, Claudio Cordone, congratulating him on assuming his new post and wishing him success in carrying out his duties.
Al-Araji noted that Syria is a pivotal country sharing common borders with Iraq, underscoring the need to enhance stability there. He also emphasized the importance of dismantling Al-Hol camp, expressing Iraq’s readiness to share its expertise in rehabilitation and reintegration programs.
He further condemned the terrorist attacks that occurred in Australia, Palmyra, and Idlib, stressing the necessity of eliminating terrorism in all its forms, particularly its human, financial, and media sources.
For his part, the Deputy Head of the UN Mission in Syria congratulated Iraq on the successful conduct of its democratic elections, noting that he plans to hold meetings with Syrian government officials in the coming period./ End
