Environment Ministry Launches Campaign to Enhance Agricultural Practices in Saudi Arabia

Riyadh, December 29, 2025, SPA -- The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture today launched a new awareness campaign to introduce the Saudi Good Agricultural Practices (Saudi G.A.P.) program as part of its ongoing efforts to enhance the sustainability of the agricultural sector and local production, improve food quality and safety, and support the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
The campaign is part of an integrated set of ministry initiatives to support national products, promote sustainable agriculture, strengthen consumer confidence, create added value for the agricultural sector, and enable sustainable agricultural practices across the Kingdom.
The campaign highlights the importance of adopting Saudi Good Agricultural Practices at all stages of agricultural production and their role in ensuring food safety, preserving natural resources, and improving the efficiency of farming operations. It also supports farmers and technicians by developing their skills to strengthen the sustainability of the Kingdom’s food security system.
The ministry noted that the Saudi G.A.P. program comprises a set of national technical standards applied to agricultural production to ensure food safety and sustainability, protect the environment, and optimize the use of natural resources.
The program supports the organization of farm management, the implementation of pest control and agricultural risk management measures, the protection of workers’ health and rights, and the development of marketing channels for local products, thereby boosting their competitiveness both locally and internationally.
