Prabowo reaffirms Indonesia's commitment to Palestinian peace

Jakarta (ANTARA) - President Prabowo Subianto reaffirmed Indonesia’s support for Palestinian peace through active participation in the Board of Peace (BoP), highlighting Jakarta’s role in promoting sustainable, fair international solutions.

Speaking in Washington D.C. on Thursday, Feb. 19, during the BoP inaugural meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump and other delegates, Prabowo said, "We will realize the dream of peace in Palestine, a sustainable solution for Palestine and Gaza.”

He stressed that Indonesia’s participation reflects its consistent stance on global peace and justice for the Palestinian people.

Prabowo added that he had studied Trump’s 20-point BoP plan and expressed full agreement and commitment.

"From day one, we reviewed President Trump’s 20-point plan. We fully agree and are fully committed to it. That is why we joined the Board of Peace,” he said.

Acknowledging challenges, Prabowo expressed confidence that peace in Palestine could be achieved collectively.

“We are committed to its success. We understand there will be obstacles and difficulties, but we remain very optimistic,” he added.

Indonesia supports long-term reconstruction and stabilization efforts in Gaza while respecting the rights of the Palestinian people and the vision of a Two-State Solution.

Indonesia has expressed its readiness to contribute actively through the International Stabilization Force under a clear mandate, agreed operational parameters, and in accordance with international law and Indonesia’s national caveats.

The country has affirmed it is prepared to deploy at least 8,000 peacekeeping troops to Gaza to join the International Stabilization Force.
