Mount Al-Rumah in Madinah Draws Visitors During Ramadan as Historic Site from the Prophet’s Biography

Madinah, February 24, 2026, SPA -- Mount Al-Rumah (or Jabal Al-Rumah) stands north of Madinah, near Mount Uhud and about four kilometers from the Prophet’s Mosque, as an enduring witness to one of the defining episodes of the Prophet’s biography and a destination for visitors seeking to learn about the events of the Battle of Uhud and reflect on its historical significance.
Visitors flocked to the mountain and climbed to its summit before the Maghrib call to prayer, keen to stand at the position where the archers were stationed, survey the expanse of the battlefield, and recall the Prophetic directive that helped safeguard the Muslim ranks at the outset of the confrontation.
The mountain, which stretches about 180 meters in length, is regarded as a significant historical landmark attracting visitors. It is accessible via prepared routes and embodies a firmly-rooted historical status that evokes enduring episodes from the Prophet’s biography.
