Yemen to preside regional H1N1 emergency meeting
SANA'A, July 21 (Saba) - Yemen is
to chair an emergency meeting of the World Health Organization (WHO) regional
committee
to be held on Wednesday in the Egyptian capital, Cairo on Swine Flu epidemic.
Upon his departure, Minister of Public Health and Population Abdul Karim Rase'a
said that Health Ministers in the Middle East States would take part in the
meeting.
The meeting Yemen has called for will focus on the developments of the Swine Flu
and its repercussions at the international and regional levels.
It will also discuss arrangements for pilgrimage and Umrah seasons this year and
precautionary measures to prevent the Swine Flu spread among pilgrims.
