WFP aid for rain-affected people in eastern governorates reviewed
HADRAMOUT, July 21
(Saba) - Deputy Governor of Hadramout Omair Mubarak was briefed on Tuesday on the
assistance
provided by the World Food Programme (WFP) for heavy rain-affected people in
Hadramout and Mahrah governorates.
The director of WFP's office Sami Yacoub explained the programme's activities and
tasks in fields of awareness, school feeding and others in the two districts Tarim
and
Sayoun.
He said that the WFP's activities also included supervising the food distribution
among those affected people, declaring that the assistance covered during June
about 3,532
affected families.
Mubarak valued the WFP's efforts, pointing out that a monthly meeting with
officials from the programme would be held to follow-up the WFP work functioning.
