Kiwoom Securities to debut on Seoul main bourse next week


SEOUL, July 29 (Yonhap) -- South Korean brokerage Kiwoom Securities Co. will
start trading its shares on Seoul's main bourse next week, moving from the
tech-heavy junior market, the bourse operator said Wednesday.

The brokerage house will list about 19.5 million shares on the bourse starting
Monday after delisting them from the KOSDAQ bourse on Friday, the Korea Exchange
said in a statement.
Initial stock prices will be determined between the 90-200 percent range of
Friday's closing price, the exchange said.
Kiwoom Securities posted a net income of 54.4 billion won (US$43.7 million) in
2008 with an operating profit of 438 billion won. Its total assets reached 1.7
trillion won as of the end of last year, the Korea Exchange said.
