Singaporean asset manager to start in S. Korea next month
SEOUL, July 29 (Yonhap) -- The Singaporean real estate firm Ascendas Asset Management Co. said Wednesday it plans to start an asset managing business in South Korea next month in a bid to capitalize on the quickly reviving local property market.
Ascendas has won regulatory approval from the Financial Services Commission as
the first Singaporean asset manager to tap into the local market, said a
spokesperson of the company that is wholly owned by Singapore's public company,
JTC Corp.
"As leading office-space investors, Ascendas will mainly focus on managing
property assets in South Korea," the company said.
