AZERI, RUSSIAN DEFENSE MINISTERS MEET IN BAKU
Baku, 2 August (AzerTAc). The Azerbaijani and Russian defense ministers have today met in Azerbaijan`s capital.
Safar Abiyev and Anatoliy Serdyukov mainly discussed prospects for the military-technical cooperation between the two countries.
They also discussed the current military and political situation in the South Caucasus, particularly the Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh.
Abiyev praised Russia`s efforts in settling the dispute.
He also warned that “if the conflict is not solved peacefully, it will inevitably create a military situation”.
Yesterday the two ministers visited the Gabala Radar station.
