Police seize 2000 weapons in a week

SANA'A, Aug 09 (Saba) - The Prevention of Arms Carrying Campaign resultedin seizing 2000 weapons in the first week of August in
different provinces and security belt areas, the state-run al-Motamar.net has reported.
Earlier, in the first week of July, a statistical report issued by Interior
Ministry said that they siezed more than 1200 weapons in different provinces of the
Republic,
whereas in security belt areas they sieze 5012 weapons at the same time.
Interior Ministry has previously directed security departments in Sana'a capital
and the provinces to activate the security plan aiming to benefit from security
belt in
preventing weapons entering cities.
