Yemen, WB approve rehabilitate Hodeidah fishing port
HODEIDAH, Aug. 09 (Saba) -
Yemen and World Bank (WB) approved here on Sunday carrying out a project of
rehabilitation
the fishing port of Hodeidah.
Approval was given during a meeting between Hodeidah Local Council Secretary
General Hassan al-Haij and a WB delegation.
The project, which is a part of the 2nd stage of WB-financed Port Cities
Development Project, includes upgrading the fishing port, outfitting with equipment
and improving
docks and buildings as well as training the port's employees.
The meeting also touched on the possibility to establish small investments in the
governorate to serve the investment activities.
