Al-Mutawakil calls on companies to adopt quality-control rules

SANA'A, Aug. 09
(Saba) - Minister of Industry and Trade Yahya al-Mutawakil called Sunday on all
companies in
the industrial and service sectors for adopting modern regulations which depend on
the up-to-date norms of quality and management.

Opening the 1st Conference on Quality under the motto of "The Strategic Role of
Quality in the Modern Organizations", al-Mutawakil urged on Yemen Standardization,
Metrology
and Quality Control Organization to encourage the governmental and private
institutions for applying the quality-control rules and spreading its conceptions.
He indicated the conference reflects the government's interest in the consumer's
protection and achieving the sustainable development and the quality as well as
promoting
the state's institutions, the public and private sectors and the society.
Meanwhile, al-Mutawakil hoped that the conference achieves its goals which
represented in concerning the quality and introducing the participants to the local
and foreign
successful trials which they can avail from and the last developments in the modern
standardizations.
The global changes in the technology field impose upon us to pinpoint a clear
future for the governmental and private industrial and service institutions,
al-Mutawakil noted
pointing to the significance of simplifying and developing the work's measures and
the performance competency.
The two-day conference discusses several papers presented by a number of
international, regional and local experts in field of quality and its control and
applications.
