Hyundai Group chief extends Pyongyang trip by one day: spokesman

SEOUL, Aug. 11 (Yonhap) -- The chairwoman of South Korea's Hyundai Group will
extend her visit to North Korea by one day, a group spokesman said Tuesday, as
she sought the release of a detained employee.

Hyun Jung-eun, who drove to Pyongyang on Monday, was scheduled to return on
Wednesday, but she will stay for one more day, said Hyundai spokesman Kim
Ha-young.
"We received the message from Hyun's entourage in Pyongyang that her return will
be put off until Thursday," Kim said.
The reason for the extension of her visit was not immediately known.
