New Yemen H1N1 case

SANA'A, Aug 17 (Saba) - Ministry of Public Health and Population
announced Monday a new case of swine flu, commonly known as H1N1.
Director General of Diseases Combating and Pandemic Observation Abdul-Hakim
al-Kuhlani said that the case was a Yemeni from one of the country's governorate
infected by
another citizen who has just returned home from outside.
Yemen has reported 14 H1N1 cases since the disease started in Americas. Earlier
Yemen laid out a comprehensive plan to combat possible spread of the global virus,
a measure
which came after the World Heath Organization raised the pandemic alert level to
Phase 6.
Yemen has put aside about $5.04 million to provide necessary requirements to fight
the virus.
Since it first began in Mexico on April 24 and then in the United States, the H1N1
flu pandemic has spread to more than 104 countries worldwide.
