N. Korea to send delegation to former President Kim Dae-jung's funeral: Seoul lawmaker
SEOUL, Aug. 19 (Yonhap) -- North Korea will send a delegation to the funeral of former South Korean President Kim Dae-jung, his aide said Wednesday.
North Korea has sent a letter to Rep. Park Jie-won of the major opposition
Democratic Party, a long-time aide to the former president, that it will send a
five-member delegation to his funeral on a two-day trip, Park said in a press
conference at the Severance Hospital where Kim died a day earlier.
Unification Ministry spokesman Lee Jong-joo said the Seoul government has not yet
received such information from North Korea.
