Sa'ada teachers condemn Houthis targeting educational institutions
SANA'A, Aug. 22
(Saba) - Teachers of Sa'ada province condemned the Houthi rebel elements for
targeting schools
and educational institutions causing significant damage to them.
During their gathering in the government complex square, they expressed their
supportive position side by side with the armed forces and security in fight
against these
elements which caused many troubles to the province's citizens.
They also affirmed their absolute support for steps taken by the government in this
stage against these elements after rejecting all calls for peaceful dialogue since
the
rebellion in 2004.
Sa'ada governor Hassan Mana'a praised teachers' national positions in providing all
the needed support for the armed forces and security.
The country is serious in this stage to eliminate this gang forever from the
country, he added.
The Houthi rebels have arrested teachers, dismissed tens of students and took over
tens of schools according to officials in the region.
The rebels also forced educators to teach their curricula and ideology to the
province's students.
