BANGKA TENGAH NEEDS RUBBER PROCESSING PLANT INVESTOR
Koba, Bangka Tengah, Indonesia, Aug 24 (ANTARA) - Bangka Tengah regency in Bangka Belitung (Babel)province was in need of rubber processing plant investors in view of the high raw rubber production in the area.
"Bangka Tengah needs of rubber plant investor to accommodate the rubber harvest from the local growers' rubber planations which had been expanding regularly," Head of the Bangka Tengah Plantation and Forestry Office Ibnu Saleh said here Monday.
The rubber plantations in Bangka Tengah in 2008 totaled 5,768 hectares with a productivity of 1,675.23 kilograms per ha each year.
Ibnu said with a rubber processing plant he was optimistic that the people of the region, especially the rubber growers, will have a better living standard.
