YWU, German embassy discuss YWU projects

SANA'A, Aug. 24 (Saba)- Secretary -General of the General Arab Women Union, Head of the Yemeni =
Women's Union, Rmzyah al- Eryani
met on Sunday with Jennifer Robiner from the cultural department of the =
Embassy of Germany in Sana'a.
The meeting discussed projects carried out by the Union, in addition to =
a project the union plans to implement in association with the embassy =
that will be on the personal
affair law and implemented through the Faas University in Germany.
The project would be carried out in three phases, first is a workshop =
to draw comparison to the personal affair law in Yemen and Morocco. =
Professors and students from the
two countries will take part in the one week-long event to be held in =
early December.
Al-Eryani said the union had organized previous workshops on the =
personal affair law such as those on amendments to marriage age and the =
law on custody rights for women.
