President inspects two dams in Bani Hushish
SANA'A, Aug. 25 (Saba)- President Ali Abdullah Saleh paid on Tuesday an inspection visit to Mukhtan and Musibih dams in Bani Hushish
district of Sana'a governorate.
President Saleh got acquainted with the level of height in waters in both dams
after heavy rains as the level waters height in Mukhtan dam reached 18 meters.
He also listened from officials of the ministry of agriculture and irrigation about
capacities of the two dams, affirming importance of building further dams to
preserve
water resources.
In 2009, the ministry of agriculture and irrigation announced tenders of setting up
40 dams at sum of YR 4.7 billion.
