Jambi, Indonesia, Aug. 27 (ANTARA) - Indonesia currently has a total of 3.6 million drug addicts, according to RA Kadarmanta, an official of the National Illicit Drug Agency (BNN).

Indonesia wanted to be free of drug abuse by 2015, by establishing anti-illicit drug agencies in every city and district throughout the country, he explained.
ASEAN member countries, which include Indonesia, have declared their wish to make the region illicit drug free by 2015, he added.
Meanwhile, Jambi Governor Zulkifli Nurdin expressed his concerned about the increased drug trafficking crimes among youths lately.
Indonesia, which had been earlier considered a transit country, has turned into a producing country of illicit drugs, he said.
