Ki Sung-yong agrees to move to Celtic FC

SEOUL, Aug. 28 (Yonhap) -- South Korea's young iconic football star Ki Sung-yong
of FC Seoul will move to Celtic FC of Scotland next year, his South Korean team
said Friday.
"The Scottish club said that it wants to sign Ki, who has attracted many calls
from European teams, in January next year after the South Korean league ends," FC
Seoul said on its Web site.
Until January, both teams will work out the details of the contract, including
transfer fee, it said.
The South Korean club, which is leading the 2009 league tally, is focusing on
winning the championship of the domestic league and the Asian Champions league.
Celtic FC, runner-up last year, is leading the Scottish Premier League this season.
