S. Korea's trade surplus tops US$1.6 bln in Aug.
SEOUL, Sept. 1 (Yonhap) -- South Korea's trade surplus reached US$1.67 billion in August, mainly due to a plunge in imports, a government report showed Tuesday.
The country's exports came to $29.08 billion last month, falling 20.6 percent
on-year, with imports plummeting 32.2 percent to $27.41 billion, according to the
report by the Ministry of Knowledge Economy.
