S. Korean footballer signs with French club

SEOUL, Sept. 2 (Yonhap) -- South Korean footballer Lee Yong-jae will likely begin
playing with FC Nantes of France's professional league this season, his agent
here said Wednesday.
The 20-year-old midfielder signed a four-year contract with the French team, his
agency Jissen said in a press release.
"Lee joined the club after undergoing a medical check-up. He will run as an
apprentice for one year and make his French League debut next season," it said.
The eight-time French league champion was relegated to League 2 after finishing
19th last season. It may call Lee up earlier than planned if its four-man
non-European quota is not full, according to the agent.
