Seoul stocks trade 0.15 pct higher in late morning
SEOUL, Sept. 3 (Yonhap) -- South Korean stocks traded 0.15 percent higher late Thursday morning as investors hunted for bargains after falls in the two previous sessions, analysts said.
The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) advanced 2.44 points to
trade at 1,615.6 as of 11:20 a.m.
Bouncing back from recent losses, financial shares gained substantial ground,
with KB Financial Group, the top financial services firm by net profit, surging
4.73 percent.
The local currency was trading at 1,246.9 won to the U.S. dollar, up 3 won from
Wednesday's close, as exporters sold the greenback.
