Test reports confirm Rubina died of swine flu: hlth official

Dehradun, Sep 3 (PTI) Swab sample of 35-year-old Rubina,
who died of suspected swine flu in a hospital here on Sunday,
has tested positive for the virus, a health official said
Thursday.
Rubina, a resident of Mussoorie, was admitted to Doon
hospital on August 30 with suspected flu symptoms. She died on
the same night even as doctors administered flu medicines to
her.

State nodal officer for Swine flu, Dr Pankaj Jain, said
her test reports have confirmed that she died of swine flu.

With the confirmation, number of those who died of the
flu in India's northern state of Uttarakhand has reached two.

On August 18, 24-year-old Raunak Singh, who was pursuing
engineering course from Pune, had died of the disease.

So far, 14 people have tested positive for H1N1 virus in
