YEMENI PRESIDENT MEETS GCC SECRETARY GENERAL

SANA'A, Sep. 04 (Saba) - President Ali Abdullah Saleh received on Friday Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council Abdul Rahman al-Attiyah who briefed him on the outcomes of the GCC Ministerial Council meeting recently held in Riyadh and decisions concerning Yemen.

Al-Attiyah assured Saleh the GCC states stand by Yemen and are ready to support its development and stability, saying the Yemen security is part of parcel of the GCC security.

President Saleh praised the relationship between his country and the Arabian Gulf states, appreciating the interest of the states in Yemen stable and united.
