GCC Secretary General leaves Sana'a
SANA'A, Sep. 04 (Saba)- Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Abdul Rahman al-Atiyya left Yemen on Friday evening
after a short visit in which he met president Ali Abdullah Saleh.
In his remarks to Saba, Al-Atiyya said that he informed president Saleh about the
GCC position, which supports the security and unity of Yemen.
He said that the GCC's desire was to adopt dialogue as a political solution for all
problems in Yemen.
Al-Atiyya also affirmed continuing support of the GCC for the development process
in Yemen, saying that the coming GCC summit would discuss topic of joining Yemen
into the
GCC postal committee.
