77-year-old Rosaiah, a veteran who had been a minister in
successive Congress governments since 1970s, has said he has
no ambition and that he would go by the high command's
decision.

In Delhi, Union Minister D Purandeshwari, daughter of the
late N T Rama Rao, appeared to be not ruling herself out of
the race for Andhra Pradesh Chief Ministership.

She merely remarked "everything depends on the high
command" when asked whether she was in the race.
"The high command is competent enough to take a decision,"
Purandeshwari said initially when asked who could be the next
chief minister.

In Hyderabad, as many as 33 of the 54 party MLCs here
and passed a resolution unanimously in support of Jaganmohn as
the new chief minister

Mohd Jani, Council's Deputy Chairman, told reporters
after the meeting that other MLCs 20 of the MLAs, who could
not attend the meeting, supported the resolution over
telephone. PTI
