MALUKU`S ISLE DISAPPEARS DUE TO ABRASION
Seram Island, INDONESIA, Sept 6 (ANTARA) - Kairore isle belonging to Tujuh Islands group, which is located in North West Seram sub district, Central Seram District, Maluku, has disappeared due to abrasion.
"The name of the area is Tujuh Islands group, but one isle has disappeared and only six isles are left," North West Seram Sub District Head Wahdah said here on Sunday.
The isle has submerged under the sea surface and only parts of its corals appear when the water subside.
The Tujuh Islands group previously consisted of Kairore Isle, Air Isle, Besar Isle, Tua Isle, Ale Isle, Tengah Isle, and Isao Isle.
Wahdah considered the disappearance of Kairore isle as a natural phenomena.
