MILY NOMAD CRASHES IN NUNUKAN, E KALIMANTAN
Jakarta, Sept 7 (ANTARA) - A maritime reconnaissance Nomad plane of the Indonesian Navy has crashed during its flight from Long Bawan, Nunukan district, to Juwata airport in Tarakan city, East Kalimantan, on Monday, a military spokesman said.
"But are still unable to disclose the location of the crash," spokesman of the Indonesian Navy, Commodore Iskandar Sitompul, said here on Monday.
He said the Nomad plane was on a routine patrol flight. It was carrying nine crew members and passengers on board.
"We are still checking the identities of the nine passengers," he said.
Head of National Rescue and Search Body (SAR) Hernanto also said the same thing. "The information on the crash of the plan is true but the location is not yet known. Anyway, the ill-fated plane is a military one," he said.
